Shots fired for two days in a row at a home in Ajax

Police are canvassing an Ajax neighbourhood after shots were fired at a residence for two days in a row over the weekend.

Shots have also been fired at a residence in Whitby and at two others in Oshawa over the weekend. Investigators are continuing to look into if any shootings are connected.

On Friday, May 17 at about 9:10 am, members from West Division responded to the area of Ravenscroft Road and Rossland Road West in Ajax after receiving reports of shots being fired at a residence.

Officers arrived on the scene and located numerous shell casings in the area. However, no victims were located, said a police report.

On Saturday, May 18 at around 3:20 am, members from West Division responded to the same residence in Ajax after receiving reports of shots being fired. Officers arrived on the scene and located numerous shell casings in the area. Again, no victims were located.

Officers are continuing to canvass the area, however are appealing to anyone in the community with information to come forward.

Police are looking for male suspect after a daylight shooting

Meanwhile, on Saturday, May 18 at about 4:20 pm, members from West Division responded to the area of Lankester Lane and Drake Lane in Ajax after receiving reports of the sounds of gunshots.

Officers arrived on scene and located numerous shell casings; however, no victims were located. It is believed at this time that there a dispute between a group of males and a lone male. The lone male fired numerous shots at the group in response to the altercation, said a police report.

Officers are continuing to canvass the area, and are appealing to anyone in the community with information to come forward.

The suspect is described as is male, Black, medium build and wearing black clothing and a black mask.
