Shots fired in Oshawa; police ask for any videos

Durham Police are investigating shots being fired at a residence after evidence was located Monday morning in Oshawa.

On October 5 at about 5:45 am, members of Central West Division were called to the area of Vancouver Street in Oshawa for reports of shots fired. Officers responded to the area and were able to confirm that shots were fired after finding shell casings nearby. One of the homes in the area had damage from a stray bullet, said a police statement.

There have been no reported injuries as a result of the incident. Police searched the area with negative results.

There is no suspect or vehicle descriptors at this time and investigators are looking for the public’s help with any information regarding this shooting. If you have surveillance video in this area, please contact our investigators, police said.
