The Township of Uxbridge has announced that site works at the Lower Brock Street downtown properties is being paused for the summer.
While limited site activities are anticipated over the summer, much of the work in the coming months will be analyzing the samples collected over the last several weeks of drilling activities, refining the plans to remediate the site and continuing to work with the Township of Uxbridge on the final design.
This work is part of the Uxbridge Downtown Revitalization Project.
Public Parking Opened Up
This will release some 43 parking spaces for the public during the pause, the township said.
An important phase of work is now complete for the Lower Brock Street downtown properties, and One Horizon Inc. is pleased to advise that public parking will reopen for the duration of the summer months, said a township statement.
These include 41 conventional spaces and 2 accessible spaces, which will be available to support local businesses throughout the summer season.
Land Sale Agreement
In April, Uxbridge council approved the conditional land sale agreement for Lower Brock downtown properties.
The township announcement stated that: “As a result of a request for expressions of interest (RFEI), a preferred proponent has been identified whose vision aligns with the community’s goals for a vibrant and sustainable downtown core.”
