Conditional sale of Uxbridge downtown properties approved

The Township of Uxbridge yesterday announced that council has approved the conditional land sale agreement for Lower Brock downtown properties.

“As a result of a request for expressions of interest (RFEI), a preferred proponent has been identified whose vision aligns with the community’s goals for a vibrant and sustainable downtown core,” said a township announcement.

The township did not identify the “preferred proponent”.

It said the township will be hosting a public open house to share further details with the community regarding the proposed redevelopment of Lower Brock, including the Town Square component.

At this gathering, the township will offer additional details, introduce the development team, and the developer will present preliminary visual renderings while outlining the key features of the proposed redevelopment.

The public open house will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre (75 Marietta Drive, Uxbridge).

At yesterday’s meeting, council passed By-Law 2026-037 to authorize the conveyance of certain lands, thus enabling the township to proceed with a conditional land sale agreement.
