Six youth in car crash into another, one fighting for life

Six youth who were out and about on a drive collided into another vehicle; leaving one youth in a life threatening condition, said police.

On Wednesday, April 15, at around 11:06 am, officers from Central East Division responded to a motor vehicle collision involving multiple youth on Longworth Avenue near Jackman Road in Clarington.

A Volkswagen Golf was travelling westbound when it made contact with a grey Ford Explorer travelling eastbound.

As a result of the collision, six youth required medical attention. Four youth were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Two youth were transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre where one is listed in stable condition, and the other remains in life-threatening condition, said the police.

A female driver involved was also transported to a local hospital and treated for minor physical injuries.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. This collision is still under investigation.
