Smiley speed reminder installed in Newcastle

The Municipality of Clarington has put up a new traffic sign in the Port of Newcastle – with smileys to show how well drivers are doing in terms of speed.

“Slow down on Port of Newcastle Drive and check out the new speed radar board we’ve installed to remind drivers to stay aware of their speeds. Stay safe. Obey the limit,” said a municipal tweet.

Highway 2 Courtice – Bowmanville

East Division of Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is reminding drivers that Highway 2 between Courtice and Bowmanville is mainly a 70km zone?

Officers recently stopped someone doing 92km.
