‘So many infractions’ on Lake Ridge Road + more

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday had a special mention for drivers along Lake Ridge Road and Winchester Road in the Town of Whitby.

“So many infractions here,” said an exasperated tweet.

The violations included 122 in a 80kmh zone, no horn, modified muffler, obstructed rear plate and change lane not in safety.

The driver (top image) said, he had to be home by his 10pm curfew.

And, uh oh! Someone was in a rush, said DRPS Traffic Safety, describing a stunt rush on Altona Road and Pickering Concession Road 4 in the City of Pickering.

“I just want to let everyone know that the people living in the Hamlet of Whitevale don’t want you speeding/stunt driving either,” said the reporting officer.

Meanwhile, DRPS West Division reported that on two separate traffic stops yesterday morning, within a time span of 5 minutes, officers intercepted two separate suspended drivers in Pickering and Ajax.

Fines start at $1,000, they pointed out.

DRPS North Division officers charged this driver (below) with stunt driving at 113kmh in a posted 60-zone in Scugog.

The driver received a 30-day licence suspension, 14-day vehicle impound and fines.

Please slow down and obey the speed limit,” said the police.
