The City of Oshawa has announced that it has reached an agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 250 (Outside Workers). The new collective agreement has been ratified.
The renewal agreement, which will expire on December 31, 2026, includes modest benefit and wage increases of 3.5 per cent effective for January 1, 2024, said a city statement.
It also include a wage increase of 3.25 per cent for January 1, 2025; and 3 per cent for January 1, 2026.
CUPE Local 250 represents approximately 220 staff who provide outside services for the community, including parks, roads, waste, recreation and facilities.
