Special weather alert for Durham issued

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement advising of heavy rain, strong winds and possible freezing rain for this weekend.

Community members are encouraged to check on vulnerable friends, neighbours, family and pets to ensure they are not experiencing any difficulties related to the weather and to take precautions. Learn more.

Additional information:

  • Recreation facilities and programs are operating as per normal schedules.
  • View CLOCA’s Notice of Hazardous Creek Conditions.
  • To report trees down, streetlights out or debris blocking a roadway, contact Service Oshawa at 905-436-3311. To report a power outage, contact Oshawa Power at 905-723-4623 and monitor the outage map.
  • Clear ice from sidewalks by midnight of the first day following the end of a snowfall.
