Speeding, aggressive driving a serious issue: DRPS

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) East Division last night reported a collision in Bowmanville.

Tonight, Liberty Street North and Concession Road 3 was closed for three hours, said a DRPS tweet following the crash.

It said: “Speeding and aggressive driving is a serious issue and is being enforced by officers. Share the road, obey the Stop sign signs, drive according to conditions, and slow down!”

Earlier in the day, there were other collisions reported in Clarington.

In an update, DRPS said the road closure from Regional Highway 2 to Clarington Concession Road 4 has been re-opened.

In another tweet, DRPS said Concession Street East closed from Bragg Road to Gibson Road for a collision investigation.

  1. I really hope you do start to crack down on our drivers iin town. Our streets are brutal. You can’t go under 70 in some 50s without some aggressive driver trying to bully you off the road Not many people who even stop at a four way stop ….not to mention every second driver who is texting!!!

Time to crack down…no one wants to lose their life or a loved one’s life do to Road stupidity
Everyone needs to remember.. yes it can happen to you. Let’s make things safe for everyone
