Stolen RV, firearm and drugs recovered in Oshawa

Two males are facing charges after they were found in a stolen vehicle with a firearm and drugs in Oshawa.

On Wednesday, November 13, at about 9:10 pm, a member of DRPS was on proactive patrol when they observed a suspiciously parked SUV and RV in the area of King Street West and Park Road South. Further checks of the RV registration confirmed it was stolen.

During the investigation two males exited the RV and fled from officers on foot. After a short foot pursuit, one suspect was taken into custody without incident. The second suspect was located attempting to hide in the rear of the SUV and was also taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicles located a rifle, ammunition, and several drugs, police said.

A 37-year-old from Prescott and a 34-year-old from Oshawa were charged. Police did not say whether the suspects were held for bail or released on an undertaking. Name(s) and further details available at www.drps.ca.
