Durham police yesterday said a 26-year old male from Ajax has been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store in Ajax.
On Wednesday, November 19 around 8:50 pm, members of West Division responded to a robbery at a convenience store in the area of Harwood Avenue South and Station Street. A suspect entered the store and held a knife toward the employee.
The suspect then stole a quantity of items and fled the store. Police located the suspect a short distance away and he was arrested without incident.
No physical injuries were reported. At the time of his arrest, the accused was on bail for another commercial robbery that occurred last week, police said.
