Teen suspect arrested for Oshawa armed robbery spree

A 16-year-old male is now in custody after allegedly committing three armed robberies in Oshawa, according to police.

During the incidents, the suspect is reported to have approached three separate victims, demanding money while armed with a knife.

On Sunday, March 23, at about 8:50 pm, officers said they responded to three consecutive robbery calls near Simcoe Street North and Beatrice Street East.

After a brief foot pursuit, police located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody. No physical injuries were reported.

A 16-year-old male from Whitby was charged and held for a bail hearing.
