A male wanted on outstanding warrants is in custody after he was observed exiting a closed local business early Saturday morning.
On October 14 at about 4:25 am, a member of North Division was conducting proactive patrol in the area of Simcoe Street and Oyler Drive in Port Perry, when an officer observed a suspicious male exit a closed business.
The male was seen loading multiple items into his vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated as the male was leaving the area. The driver was identified as being a prohibited driver with outstanding warrants. He was also confirmed to be in possession of numerous stolen items. He was taken into custody without incident, said a police statement.
The 49-year old suspect of Clarington was charged and held for bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
