Police looking for three who entered car, stabbed driver in back

Durham Police investigators are looking for three suspects after a robbery in Whitby.

On Friday, October 13 at about 1:20 pm, members of Central West Division responded to an unknown trouble in the area of Garden Street and Taunton Road East.

The 36-year-old victim had exited a local business and returned to his vehicle. Once seated in the driver’s seat, three males entered the victim’s vehicle. The victim was then stabbed in the upper back. The males fled on foot prior to police arrival, said a police statement.

The victim was located with life-threatening injuries and transported to a Toronto-area trauma hospital. His condition has since been updated to stable.

It was not made clear what was robbed.

The first suspect is described as male, Black, 25-35 years-old, slender build, 6’. He was wearing a black hat, grey hoodie with the hood up, grey track pants, and black shoes.

The second suspect is described as male, Black, 20-30 years-old, slender build, 6’. He was wearing a grey and black hoodie with the hood up, grey track pants, and black shoes.

The third suspect is described as male, Black, 25-35 years-old, stalky build, 6’2”. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black jogging pants, and white and black shoes.
