Two hurt, one seriously, in truck-pick-up-car crash

Two people have been injured, one of them seriously, in a collision that occurred Saturday morning in Uxbridge.

On October 14 at about 7:55 am, members from North Division were called to Regional Highway 47 and Wagg Road in Uxbridge, for a three-vehicle collision.

A northbound white commercial truck was approaching Wagg Road, when a black sedan entered into the northbound lanes, from Wagg Road. The truck struck the sedan pushing it into the path of a southbound pickup, which in turn also stuck the sedan, said a police statement.

Two males were transported to Toronto-area trauma hospitals. One remains in critical condition, the second is in stable condition. The driver of the white commercial truck sustained no injuries and remained at the scene, it said.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.

Anyone with information about this incident or who witnessed this collision is asked to call D/Cst. Lathangue of the Collision Investigation Unit at 905-579-1520 ext. 5255.
