DRPS Traffic Services comes across all kinds, mostly thrill enthusiasts who love to zip along confident they won’t be noticed and caught.
However, some, as this vehicle’s (top image) driver, are not so lucky.
This one, according to police, went way beyond what they describe as ‘stunt driving’ which is 40 kmh above the speed limit.
“Blatant disregard for others safety on the roadway cost this young driver her driving licence for 30 days,” said a police alert.
Her vehicle was impounded for 14 days and charges were laid.
Why? The lady was doing 148 kmh in a posted 50 kmh zone, and went straight into an 80 kmh zone at 140 kmh.
This is beyond irresponsible and dangerous, said police.
They did not say where the incident took place.

“Officers from DRPS East Division have been doing increased foot patrol and bike patrol in Bowmanville, Newcastle and Orono,” said an alert.
“Be sure to say hi if you see them out and about!” it added.
