This is also something that Durham police do…

It’s not just fighting crime and keeping it at bay, but stalwarts of the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), also help people – and animals – in trouble.

Recently, there was the case of a motorist who was stranded in the middle of flowing traffic with a broken down car.

Officers from DRPS North Division Traffic assisted a broken-down motorist on Lake Ridge Road in Uxbridge recently.

Officers pushed the car from the live lane to a safe shoulder. The driver then called for a tow, police said.
