Three arrested after fleeing in stolen vehicle in Whitby

Durham Regional Police say three individuals were arrested Wednesday morning after officers tracked down a stolen vehicle in Whitby.

According to police, on June 25, at around 8:20 am, officers from Central West Division responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the area of Stellar Drive and Thickson Road South. The vehicle was being monitored via GPS when officers attempted a traffic stop.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene but was located a short distance away. Police say three individuals were arrested without incident.

A 37-year-old male, of Keene, was charged and held for a bail hearing, a 36-year-old woman, of Harcourt, and a 42-year-old male, of Port Hope, were both charged and released on an undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
