Three were arrested after a 20-year-old Oshawa male was found deceased after a shooting incident near an apartment building in Oshawa Monday night.
On October 5 at about 10:15 pm members of Central East Division responded to a residential apartment on King Street near Farewell Street for a shooting. Police arrived to find a 20-year-old male deceased. The shooting took place in a parking lot of the building complex. Three persons from the building have been taken into custody as part of this ongoing investigation. A firearm was also recovered at the scene, said a police statement.
This is an ongoing investigation and no charges have been laid at this time. Investigators are looking for witnesses to come forward.
This is the seventh homicide in Durham Region for 2020.
