Three hurt in violent Scotiabank robbery

Durham police is looking for two armed suspects after a violent bank robbery in Pickering on Valentine Day.

On February 14 at about 8 pm, members of West Division responded to the Scotiabank on Kingston Road in Pickering. The two suspects entered the bank both armed with guns and made a demand for cash. The suspects pistol whipped two of the employees and injured a third during the robbery. No cash was obtained and the suspects fled the bank into a vehicle. Officers searched the area with negative results, said a police media update.

Three victims were treated at hospital for facial injuries, the statement added.

The suspects are described as both male, black, between 17-23 years of age, 5’10” tall. They had their faces covered and were armed with handguns.
