Three separate robberies – each by gang of three men

Durham Police are investigating three separate commercial robberies that occurred recently, two in Ajax and one in Pickering.

Investigators are trying to determine if these robberies are connected, police said.

On Tuesday, January 25, at approximately 8 pm, three males entered the IDA Med Care Pharmacy on Brock Road in Pickering. Suspects took a quantity of narcotics and fled in a vehicle. No one was physically injured, said a police statement.

The suspects are all described as: male, Black, approximately 6’ tall with slim build and wearing balaclavas.

On Wednesday, January 26, at around 5:50 pm, three males entered the Bell store on Harwood Avenue North in Ajax. The males forced an employee to the ground then stole a quantity of merchandise before fleeing on foot. The victim received minor injuries. The suspects are described as: male, Black wearing black clothing and masks.

On Wednesday, January 26, at approximately 6:30 pm, three males entered the Guardian Pharmacy on Church Street North in Ajax. The suspects jumped the counter and stole medication and cash. They fled the scene in a vehicle. No one was physically injured. The suspects are described as: male, Black, approximately 15 to 20 years old and wearing masks.

Anyone with any new information about these robberies, including dash cam footage in the areas at the times of the incidents, is asked to contact the Major Crime Robbery Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5355.
