Two separate robberies occurred in Durham Region on September 27 and 30, involving groups of assailants targeting individuals walking.
In Whitby, a 13-year-old male was assaulted by three youth during a robbery.
On Monday, September 30, at about 10 pm, members of Central West Division responded to a robbery in the area of Robert Attersley Drive East and Archstone Street.
A 13-year-old male was at a nearby park when he was approached by three young males. The three suspects assaulted the victim before stealing his personal items, e-scooter, and clothing. The victim attended a nearby residence where he contacted police. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival, said a police report.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The first suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 16-years-old, 5’9” tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a ski mask, black sweater, black pants, and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 16-years-old, and 5’9” tall. He was wearing a black/white hoodie.
The third suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 16-years-old, and 5’9” tall. He was wearing all black clothing.

Robbery and stabbing in Oshawa
Durham Police yesterday said a male is recovering after being robbed and stabbed by a group while walking on a bike pathway in Oshawa.
On Friday, September 27, at about 10:15 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a stabbing on the Oshawa Creek bike path, located near Robson Street and Whiting Avenue.
Two males had been walking along the bike path when they were approached by a group of people. The group robbed the victims resulting in one of the victims being assaulted and stabbed.
The first victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival, and remain outstanding.
