Durham Region is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) in the City of Pickering.
These will be from May 11 until May 29. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule, the region said.
It said lane restrictions will be in place on Brock Road, from 120 metres north of Williams Jackson Drive/Dersan Street to 230 metres south of Rex Heath Drive/Zents Drive.
These are being implemented to safely facilitate a new development.
Ongoing lane restrictions in Clarington
There are also ongoing lane restrictions on Regional Road 3 in the Municipality of Clarington.
They were scheduled from May 4 and will last until June 30, 2027.
Construction activities will shut down during the winter period from December 1 until May 1, 2027. A full road closure will be required this summer. Details will be communicated in advance of the closure.
Daytime lane restrictions will be in place on Regional Road 3, from east of Townline Road (Regional Road 55) to west of Enfield Road (Regional Road 34). One lane of traffic will remain open.
This work is part of the reconstruction project to rebuild and widen Regional Road 3.
The region said it realizes that the works may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete them as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
