Two 30-storey tall towers with 622 units planned in Ajax

Two 30-storey tall buildings with 622 units are being proposed on the lands known as 60 Blowers Crescent, according to the Town of Ajax.

The proposed mixed-use development consists of two buildings with heights up to 30-storeys including approximately 622 dwelling units and 2,500 square metres of commercial gross floor area as seen below.

The Town of Ajax sent out a notice on Monday April 27th about a Statutory Public Meeting that will be held on Tuesday, May 19, at 1 pm regarding the amendments to by-laws that will allow for the construction of residential development.

The purpose of Regional Official Plan Amendment Application ROPA26-A2 and the proposed implementing by-law is to re-designate the subject lands as seen below from the Employment Areas designation to the Community Areas designation.

The amendments would re-designate the subject lands from the Prestige Employment designation to the Mixed Commercial Corridor designation and allow for a maximum building height, a maximum density limit, and a minimum non-residential gross floor area requirement. As well as allow the developers to set development standards that would implement the proposed mixed-use development of the subject lands, said the town announcement.
