Two covid-19 test centres being closed this weekend

Lakeridge Health yesterday announced that the Covid-19 assessment centre located in Clarington at the Garnet B. Rickard arena, 2440 Durham Regional Highway 2, Bowmanville, will be closed as of the end of the day on May 28.

Durham Region’s Covid-19 Assessment Centres are located at Pickering Chestnut Hill -1867 Valley Farm Road, will close as of the end of day, May 29.

To book a Covid-19 test, residents were urged to check with their primary care provider for a testing site nearby.

Durham Region’s Covid-19 Assessment Centres are located at:

  • Pickering Central – 1101 Kingston Road, Unit 140. (Beside Glendale Pharmacy); and
  • Port Perry – Prince Albert Hall – 19 Jeffery Street

To book a test at either the Pickering clinic (1101 Kingston Road) or the Port Perry clinic (19 Jeffery Street) visit covid19swab.lh.ca. For more locations, visit the provincial website.
