Two held for break-and-enter into empty Oshawa school

Durham Police said two men were arrested for breaking into a vacant Oshawa school.

On Thursday, August 26, at approximately 1:15 am, members of Central East Division were called to a break and enter in progress at the former Harmony Road Public School in Oshawa, which is a vacant building on Harmony Road south of King Street East. Responding officers located two males in the building and both were placed under arrest.

Darnel Lewis, age 27 of NFA, and Michael Ostapowich, age 47 of Grandview Street South in Oshawa, are both charged with: Break and Enter – Commit Business; Theft Under $5,000; Mischief; and Possession of Break and Enter Instruments. Both men were released on Undertakings.
