The Toronto Police Marine Unit on Tuesday escorted Mike Shoreman on his final approach to Kew Gardens Tennis Club in Toronto. He arrived at about 11 am.
Shoreman, who is from Whitby, paddle boarded from Rochester in the U.S, across Lake Ontario to return to Canada.
He is to be confirmed as the first person with a disability to paddle between two countries. Shoreman is raising funds and awareness for youth with with mental health challenges.
Town of Whitby was obviously proud of it’s resident. “Keep up the great work Mike! When Mike completes the trip, he will be the first person with a disability to cross international waters by paddleboard! Let’s all continue to show Mike support!”
Mike Shoreman likes to be called The Unbalanced Paddleboarder.
There's a documentary on its way. Thank you Monty Langford and your amazing team 📽 pic.twitter.com/jeBy3YeuPe
