Two teens charged, released after crashing stolen SUV

Durham Police yesterday said two youth have been charged after crashing a stolen vehicle in Whitby.

On Wednesday, August 30 at about 1:30 pm, members of Central West Division responded to a single vehicle collision at Fallingbrook Street and Taunton Road involving a stolen vehicle.

Several occupants fled from the stolen Honda Pilot SUV into a nearby neighborhood. With the assistance of the K-9 Unit, officers arrested two youth, said a police statement.

A 16-year-old male and a 14-year-old male from Toronto were both charged and released on undertakings.
