Two-week Bloor Street works to impact Oshawa GO station

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced temporary lane restrictions on Bloor Street West (Regional Road 22) in Oshawa to facilitate infrastructure relocation.

According to regional officials, lane restrictions will be in effect from February 25 to March 10. The affected area includes both eastbound and westbound lanes on Bloor Street West, from west of Thornton Road South to Stevenson Road South (Regional Road 53). The work schedule may be impacted by weather conditions.

Officials stated that the lane closures will allow for the relocation of Enbridge Gas infrastructure in preparation for an upcoming region capital works project. The project was not identified.

The region confirmed that local businesses, the Durham College Oshawa GO/Via Rail station, and the parking lot will remain accessible during construction. However, additional time may be needed to navigate the area.
