Unifor has reached tentative agreements with General Motors (GM) on behalf of more than 4,600 union members.
This includes some 2,700 employees at the Oshawa Assembly Plant.
Details of the agreements will be released to members at ratification meetings scheduled August 29-30, said a Unifor statement.
The tentative agreements are unanimously endorsed by the Unifor General Motors Master Bargaining Committee.
The new tentative agreements cover members of Unifor Locals 222, 88,199 and 636 employed at the Oshawa Assembly Plant, CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, St. Catharines Propulsion Plant and Woodstock Parts Distribution Centre.
Negotiations between Unifor and General Motors began on August 10, following the ratification of a pattern collective agreement with Ford Motor Company.
