Unlicenced driver with unsecured child goes for speed thrill

The bravado of Durham drivers sometimes is surprising as was highlighted by above driver – who though did not have a driving licence – still went speeding with an unsecured child in car.

Unlicenced driver charged with stunt driving – excessive speed, said a tweet from Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) North Division.

It said the driver in Brock had a child passenger who was not properly secured.

The driver received a 30-day licence suspension, 14-day vehicle impound, and hefty fines.

“Please slow down and obey the speed limit.

Earlier, DRPS North Division posted images of drivers (below) who were stopped for speeding in Scugog.

Meanwhile, DRPS Central East Division officers were out on patrol early yesterday.

“Good morning. It’s starting to rain so we should be slowing down – not going 81/50 community safety zone which results in a $462 fine and 4 points, they pointed out after a traffic stop.
