Upcoming Brock Road restriction, Oshawa road closure

The Regional Municipality of Durham yesterday notified residents of lane restrictions on Brock Road in Pickering from Monday.

When: October 24 to November 18.

Where: Brock Road (Regional Road 1), between Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) and Elsa Storry Avenue, in the City of Pickering.

Why: Lane restrictions will be in place as part of the construction of a new trunk sanitary sewer.

The region said it realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.

Oshawa road closure

Grandview Street North in Oshawa will be closed to through traffic for roadway paving, the city announced yesterday.

Where: Between Conlin Road East and Douglas Langtree Drive and Woodstream Avenue.

When: October 27 to 28, 2022

Why: Roadway paving-base and top asphalt

The city said road closure and detour signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards. There will be no emergency access – local traffic only.

It apologized for any inconvenience this may cause.
