Lesson on the road, almost missed exam at college…

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday taught a lesson to a student – one that the learner is not likely to forget in a hurry.

Lesson on planning: it is 9:36 am, you have an exam at Durham College in Oshawa at 10 am, but are stopped for speeding in the City of Pickering… 5 km faster and you’d certainly miss your exam. End lesson: SLOW DOWN, said a tweet.

Loud car, ignoring ambulance, stunt driving…

North Division officers yesterday said this driver was charged with having a really loud muffler.

Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a muffler in good working order to prevent excessive or unusual noise 75(1) HTA.

The police stop took place in Uxbridge.

Meanwhile DRPS Traffic Services, apologized for the image quality, but pointed out that yet another driver elected not to stop or pull to the right for Durham Paramedics with all lights and sirens active (below).

All other road users did. This stretch of road was wide open and EMS was visible for a prolonged period.

Unacceptable, said a tweet.
