Upcoming lane restrictions in Bayly and Beaverton

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Bayly Street (Regional Road 22) in the Town of Ajax.

When: July 8 through August. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Lane restrictions will be in place on Bayly Street, from Church Street South to 500 metres east of the intersection of Bayly Street and Church Street South, in the Town of Ajax.

Why: To safely install a new centre median island on Bayly Street, regrade and install a new multi-use path along the north boulevard, and to extend the right turn lane to accommodate a proposed entrance for westbound traffic. On the south side of Bayly Street, a new turn lane will be constructed for the existing entrance into Volkswagen Canada, said a region statement.

Beaverton Restrictions

The Regional Municipality also advised residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Osborne Street in the community of Beaverton in the Township of Brock.

Where: Osborne Street at the intersection of Bay Street, in Beaverton.

When: July 8 to July 12. Unfavorable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Why: To safely install watermain infrastructure as part of the Beaverton Watermain Replacement project.
