The Regional Municipality of Durham has applied for federal approval to undertake a bridge replacement project on local Uxbridge waterways.
The existing Siloam Bridge is proposed for replacement with a new structure, said a region statement.
It said the bridge carries Regional Road 8 over Pefferlaw River, 0.75 kilometres west of Concession Road 3 in the Township of Uxbridge.
The bridge replacement is anticipated to be completed in a single construction season, requiring full closure of Regional Road 8 at the bridge location during construction.
The project is currently in the detailed design stage, the region said.
