The contract for the design-build of a new $15 million Aquatic and Sports Complex in Uxbridge has been formally awarded and construction is set to begin shortly.
The new facility will replace the current structure and feature an eight-lane, 25-metre pool for swimming and fitness, a 10-by-15-metre therapy and teaching pool, and a multi-sport space designed for basketball, pickle ball and fitness programming, said a township announcement.
It said construction is projected to be completed by March 2027. The new facility is scheduled to be open to the public as soon as construction is completed. The construction will follow a phased approach, and throughout this period, the existing pool will remain fully operational to ensure continued service for the community.
No further details were released by the township.
