Three rounded up for backpack meat theft stabbing

Police have caught up with the three people who stabbed a man over a backpack of meat in Oshawa in early June.

Investigators have charged two adults and a young person for the stabbing.

Lucas Fowler, age 24 of No Fixed Address, is charged with: Robbery; Aggravated Assault and Breach of Probation x2.

Payton Buller, age 18 of Wilson Road South in Oshawa, is charged with: Robbery; Aggravated Assault and Possession of Stolen Property.

A 17-year-old Oshawa male was charged with: Robbery; Aggravated Assault; Possession of Stolen Property; Weapons Dangerous and Carry a Concealed Weapon.

They were all held for a bail hearing.

On Sunday, June 9 morning, a 30-year-old Oshawa male was attempting to sell some meat which he had in his backpack. Three suspects assaulted him, stabbed him numerous times in the leg and fled with the backpack full of meat.

The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to local hospital.
