Whitby Farmers’ Market goes digital

The Whitby’s Farmers’ Market has kicked off the 2020 season by reinventing how residents can #ShopLocal during the Covid-19 public health crisis.

The market – which features the tastes and craftsmanship of local entrepreneurs, artisans and growers – has moved online, offering residents the chance to purchase local goods while continuing to practice physical distancing, said a town statement.

In its new format, the market offers residents safe, curbside pick-up for all goods being offered, including:

• fresh fruits and veggies;
• gluten-free goodies;
• organic microgreens;
• pastries;
• wildflower honey;
• cold-pressed juice;
• maple syrup;
• homemade beauty and skincare products; and,
• more.
