Winchester road to reopen temporarily for winter season

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced the temporary reopening of Winchester Road (Regional Road 3) in Brooklin for the winter season.

It will reopend from Durham Street/Chelmsford Drive to east of Watford Street/Anderson Street.

However, minor lane restrictions will remain in place until mid-December for worker safety.

The full eastbound lane closure will be re-implemented in April 2025 and continue until September 2025, said a region notice.

The road closure is part of a project to widen and rehabilitate Winchester Road.
