Woman with trauma signs found dead in Clarington home

Durham police are investigating after a female was found deceased with obvious signs of a trauma at a residence in Newcastle in the Municipality of Clarington.

On Tuesday, September 16 at about 9:10 am, members of East Division responded to an unknown trouble call at a residence in the area of Farrow Avenue and Highway 2.  Officers located a female with obvious signs of trauma, who was pronounced deceased.

At this time, this is believed to be an isolated incident.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is urging anyone with information to contact police.
