Durham Region Transit (DRT) has announced its Y10 pass for youths aged 13 to 19 allows unlimited travel from September 1 to June 30, 2027, provided passes are purchased consecutively throughout the 10-month school year.
Youths who purchase a pass every month from September until June will save $20.73 on each consecutive Y10 monthly pass, for a total of $ 207.30 in savings, DRT said.
It said enrolment is now open, with the September Y10 pass available for purchase starting August 21, for $89.86 per month. The September monthly pass becomes active on September 1. To maintain unlimited travel through June 30, 2027, customers must purchase a Y10 monthly pass each month. Customers must complete Y10 program enrolment and purchase their first pass by September 10, 2026.
Passes are available for purchase at the following locations by presenting proof of age, which includes the birth date:
- DRT Customer Service, 110 Westney Road South, Ajax
- Region of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby
- Oshawa Centre – Guest Services, 419 King Street West, Oshawa
- Township of Scugog – 181 Perry Street, Port Perry
The Y10 monthly pass is not available through the Presto e-ticket app.
