Playground vandalized with hate symbols and words

Durham police yesterday said they are searching for at least one suspect after a park in Clarington was vandalized with numerous hate symbols and speech.

“Several parts of a play structure for children at Lord Elgin Park have been vandalized by graffiti with hateful symbols and speech,” said a police statement.

The park is situated in Bowmanville.

The police did not provide any further details.

Anyone with cellphone, dash cam, surveillance footage, or any information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst. Dearing of the East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 x 1605.
