100 Men of Scugog have raised almost $250,000 to donate

100 Men of Scugog have raised almost a quarter of a million dollars so far to donate in its over one decade of existence, the institution announced.

The year 2025 saw the 10th anniversary of the group and to date 100 Men of Scugog have raised almost one quarter of a million dollars to donate. Impressive numbers, indeed. Tyler Renaud and Nick Semeniuk are to be commended for leading the charge with this great group, said a statement.

The group is an assembly of people that donate their time and, more importantly, their dollars to charity organizations that serve the people of Scugog.

At a meeting on July 15, it was announced that seven new members joined the group. “The 100 Men group is growing but could use more members,” said the statement.

The third meeting of 2026 of the 100 Men of Scugog was held at the Port Perry Legion on July 15. The legion, with a huge help from Doug Babcock, has been an amazing partner in facilitating these meetings and the group is more than grateful for their ongoing help. Presentations were made by Big Brothers/Big Sisters North Durham, North House and The Lake Scugog Historical Society. Tough decision as all three were more than worthy candidates, but in the end Margie Ayres and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters was the group chosen to receive the award of $6,400.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, October 21 at the Legion in Port Perry.
