Durham Regional Police are searching for two suspects after an armed home invasion in Ajax on the evening of Monday, April 28.
According to police, officers from West Division responded to a call around 5:35 pm in the area of Williamson Drive West and Tozer Crescent. A homeowner had opened the front door after hearing a knock when two male suspects forced their way inside. One of the suspects was reportedly armed with a firearm and demanded jewellery.
The suspects fled with cash, electronics, and an estimated $10,000 worth of jewellery. The homeowner was not physically injured, and police believe the incident was isolated.
The first suspect is described as a Black male with possible braided hair, wearing all black clothing. The second suspect is also described as a Black male with a lighter complexion, last seen wearing a grey sweater.
The suspects were seen leaving in a black Toyota Camry, a four-door sedan with tinted rear windows and alloy rims.
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information or video footage—including home surveillance or dashcam—from the area to come forward.
