Help police find this pellet-shooting vandal

Durham Regional Police are investigating a series of targeted property damage incidents at two separate residential locations in Pickering and Ajax, and are appealing to the public for help in identifying the suspect.

Police say that between December 30 and May 13, a male suspect repeatedly vandalized the same vehicle outside a home near Alanbury Crescent and Lynn Heights Drive in Pickering. The vehicle was targeted on three separate occasions, with damage including slashed tires, a smashed rear window, and pellet gun shots fired at the windows.

The suspect is described as a white male between 16 and 25 years old with a slender build. At the time of the incidents, he was seen wearing a black hoodie, grey jogging pants, and black and white shoes.

A similar pattern of property damage was reported in Ajax between April 11 and May 3. Police say a suspect targeted a home near Ventura Lane and Ducatel Crescent on three occasions. In the latest incident, the suspect reportedly fired pellets at the house, damaging several windows. Previous visits to the address also involved damage to vehicles parked on the property.

The suspect in the Ajax incidents is described as a white male in his 20s with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, light-colored jogging pants, and white shoes.

In all incidents, the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Investigators believe the cases may be connected and are urging anyone with information or surveillance footage to come forward.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Goldenberg of the West Division Criminal Investigative Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2529.
