A search warrant led to the seizure of over $118,000, a firearm and ammunition in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.
A female suspect was arrested, a male suspect is wanted.
In May, investigators with the Drug Enforcement Unit began an investigation into a male believed to be in possession of a firearm.
On Friday, June 5, the Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant on a residence in Courtice.
A firearm with ammunition and over $118,000 of Canadian currency was located and seized. The 46-year old woman from Clarington was located in the residence and taken into custody without incident. She was held for a bail hearing.

48+ grams of cocaine found after traffic stop
A traffic stop in Oshawa resulted in a man being charged with drug trafficking by Durham police.
On Saturday, June 6, around 12:20 am, members of East Division on proactive patrol initiated a traffic stop for excessive noise in the area of King Street and Eastlawn Street.
Officers searched the vehicle after observing open liquor containers while speaking with the driver. As a result, over 48 grams of suspected cocaine was located and seized. The driver was taken into custody without incident.
