19-year old bear-sprayed, stabbed in parking lot

A 19-year-old Oshawa man was taken to a local hospital after being stabbed in a parking lot in Oshawa Wednesday evening.

On November 10 at approximately 4:44 pm, members of Central East Division were called to a residential building on Nonquon Road in Oshawa for a stabbing. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a serious but non-life threatening stab wound. The victim was also sprayed with bear spray. Police were able to identify the suspect and he was arrested nearby, said a statement.

A 17-year-old male of Oshawa is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon x2; Possess Weapons Dangerous and Administer Noxious Substance.

He was held for a bail hearing.
