22-year old held in shooting of teen in Oshawa

Durham Police have arrested a 22-year-old male for a shooting over the weekend in Oshawa.

Investigators from the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau executed search warrants at a residence and vehicle in Oshawa. Members of the DRPS Offender Management Unit arrested the suspect at his employment in south Whitby and he faces 14 criminal charges, said a police statement.

Dylan Cadieux-Dacosta, age 22, of Huron Street in Oshawa was arrested without incident and faces 14 criminal charges which include: Aggravated Assault; Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound; Careless Use of Firearm; Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm; Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace and Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order.

He was held for a bail hearing.
