Three impaired women drivers have been arrested in the last couple of days in northern Durham, according to Durham Regional Police Services (DRPS).
Officers from DRPS North Division arrested two females for impaired in separate incidents in Scugog.
On Wednesday, an impaired 19-year old woman was found asleep at the wheel, in a live lane in Uxbridge.
On April 14, officers were dispatched to an impaired driver call on Old Simcoe Road in Scugog. The driver had pulled into a parking lot and fell out of the vehicle.
Officers arrived on scene and noticed signs of impairment. A 19-year old female from Port Perry is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drug; operation while impaired – exceed blood alcohol concentration, and obstruct peace officer.
On April 15, officers attended a single motor vehicle collision on Davis Drive in Scugog. Officers arrived and observed the female driver to be slurring and unsteady on her feet. A 46-year old female from Oshawa is charged with impaired operation of a conveyance – alcohol, and operation while impaired – exceed blood alcohol concentration.
Please don’t drive impaired, said the police.
